TIME IS NOW
Time is Now is a smart textile costume designed and created through a partnership of Bruno Birmanis and Eugene Birman, utilising LUMIGRAM fiberoptic textiles. It features the first application of fiberoptic threads with inbuilt, programmable luminescence to classical music performance. The costume debuted at DE SINGEL in Antwerp, Belgium as part of the Digitise Me! festival.
APPARITION
APPARITION is a speculative work that imagines a dancer’s relationship with his digital self through CGI. The engaging video depicts the birth of a virtual double in music video format and asks, ‘Where does one draw the line between perception and reality and analog and digital’?
